Town Moto & Moto Revere Poker Run 2016
On Oct. 30 we had our last event of the season with our friends at Moto Revere. They were cool enough to help us with the planning and organizing of a Poker Run similar to what we did last year.
A poker run for the uninitiated is a scavenger hunt. You travel to different locations where you get a card sealed in the envelope. You collect as many cards as possible and bring them back and a dealer opens the envelopes and plays your best hand with the cards you've collected. The way we did it this year was have everyone meet at Moto Revere where they received their map of all the card locations and received their first cards. Everyone had 3 hours to collect as many cards as possible before returning to Town Moto to play their hands. The best hands had the chance to pick a prize donated by our generous sponsors.
The weather had not been looking good but it mostly held and we had around 70 riders brave the early morning rain and cold to do the run. By 2:30 we had a lineup of people already back ready to play their cards.
A really big thanks to Moto Revere for their help with planning and organizing the run. It was cool to work on an event with them. Please check them out if you are in need of a place to work on your motorcycle or store it over the winter.
A big thank you to all our sponsors who donated prizes for the winners with the best hands!
