From vintage classics to modern OEMs, Ol' Town Moto's front window had a real good mixture of motorcycles in 2018. Scroll down to see them all!
January - 1968 Benelli 350
In January we were lucky to have a beautiful 1968 Benelli 350 in the window. The bike belongs to our good friend Nicholas, and it is the second one of his bikes we have been privileged enough to borrow. Check out other window bikes from Nicholas: 1980 Ducati 900ss, WSM SBK #1
February - 1974 Husqvarna CR125
With the Grand Prix de Snow presented by Husqvarna Motorcycles happening in February we had wanted a bike that fit that vibe to help promote the event. Luckily our friend Lawrence we were promoting the event with had just the bike. It's his 1974 Husqvarna CR125 he had just finished putting together. Read about this bike's story in the blogpost.
March - Falcon Racing Co. DTX450
March's window bike tied into our Flat Track themed month by being an interesting concept from a Canadian company, Falcon Racing Co. that is putting together ready-to-race DTX Flat Track bikes at an affordable price.
Harley Davidson Canada loaned us two our their latest Sportster models for the month of April and May. We were fortunate enough to take both of them out for a rip, and the experience did not disappoint.
June - 1970 Triumph T100S
Town Moto shipping daddy Inigo came through with a European classic for our front window in June. Him and his dad Dangerous Dad have been collecting and restoring vintage European bikes since 2014, read about this bike HERE.
July - 1984 Honda XR500R
Our window bike for July is a real clean 1984 Honda XR500R that belongs to our friend Klaus. He picked it and a matching XR600 off of a collector in New Brunswick. It's a really fun looking and fun to ride bike. For more photos, check out the blogpost.
August - BMW R NineT Pure
We were loaned a beautiful 2018 R NineT Pure from BMW Motorad Canada. Before putting the bike in the window, we spent a few days riding it around, and had an awesome time on it. We have heard lots of positive reviews about the bike, mostly from owners. We were happy to find out that it lives up to the hype!
September - 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS
if you're looking for a 'retro' looking bike that performs like a modern and gives you a fun, intuitive ride whether you're in the city or carving up some curvy country roads, the Z900RS is a great motorcycle to give some consideration to.
October - Custom Rebel 500
November - Suzuki TR750
This replica TR750 belongs to and was partially built by our racing sensei, Sensei Tim Voyer #840. If you want to see this bike in action, then come out to one of the Vintage Road Racing Associations races in 2019. The club has lots of amazing bikes and great people piloting them. The entire schedule can be found at www.VRRA.ca.
December - 2018 Honda CRF110F
In our tradition of having a December window bike that could hypothetically almost fit under a Christmas tree, Honda was kind enough to loan us one of their 2018 Honda CRF110F's. These little guys look sweet and are a blast to rip around on, no matter what your age!
