Super Sonic Road Race School

I remember our friend Toni Sharpless, Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Famer and former Motovan rep telling me about her idea for a mini-bike based road racing school and eventual race series. It sounded like a ton of fun and great way for anyone to get into riding on the track. Super Sonic's website states:
Our mission at the Super Sonic Road Racing School is to provide a fun and safe introduction to road racing motorcycles for all ages and experience levels with a clear aim to give rise to future Canadian Champions competing internationally at the highest level.
Toni wasted no time in getting to work on getting the school together and Toni Sharpless' Super Sonic Road Race school was up and running inside a year in the midst of a the pandemic.
We finally found a day to get the Town Moto crew out for a day of skill-sharpening, mini-bike ripping and big smiles this September. We spent the morning get comfortable on the bikes and the track and learning a few things about body position, riding these smaller bikes, and race lines from our instructors Jake Leclair and TM alumni Thomas Reidy. Throughout the day everyone picked up speed and got more comfortable on the bikes. Low-speed drills like pivoting around a pylon on your knee slider got everyone comfortable with leaning a little more and it ended up being a great day of fun on the mini bikes and mini track!
Big thanks to Toni, Jake & Thomas for making it a great day.
