Alan Whealy has been a mechanic for over a decade. His interest peaked through working on vintage Italian cars, and quickly shifted to motorbikes because of how unique each bike is. Whether he is being tasked with reviving an old, neglected bike, or adding custom upgrades to a newer machine, figuring out the puzzle that each bike presents is what keeps him perpetually interested.
After gaining experience working in dealerships, and independent shops, a few years ago Alan took on the task of building his own business: Whealy Motorcycle Repair. While Alan specializes in repair and restoration for vintage motorcycles and scooters, his shop also services most newer models, offering maintenance, repair, and customization.
Alan is a long-time member of the Town Moto family and Toronto motorcycle community. From working at the shop and co-hosting our Tech Nights, to simply stopping by for a hang - where he inevitably helps customers with any questions they have - he’s always around offering insight, mechanical or not. Check out Whealy Motorcycle Repair on instagram @whealymotorcyclerepair, at www.whealyrepair.com, to follow along on the projects he is working on, or come say hi to Alan in person at one of our Town Moto Tech Nights this spring.
