Our Best Selling Riding Jackets
Spring is weeks away (we hope) and we couldn't be happier. To get a bit of pre-season hype going on the blog this week we thought we'd bring you Town Moto's top selling riding jackets - and a little run through on why they got that status. Check back next week too, we'll be running through our top selling women's jackets.
Our top Seller: The Roland Sands Ronin
RSD Ronin came in as our top selling men's riding jacket in 2014. No surprises there, as it looks great on just about everyone. This jacket comes in several color options with armor ready shoulder, elbow, and back protector pockets. Roland Sands also specializes in a Limited Set hand finished washed and waxed cowhide that looks better with each season of wear. This jacket is stocked in the shop in both black and tobacco and can also be special ordered in oxblood and black & smoke. Armor sold separately.
The Number Two: The Roland Sands Tracker
A super versatile jacket that works well in the heat of summer. This is a light weight option that includes armour pockets and water resistant capabilities which makes it a great jacket for everyday riding. We like to highlight it's HUGE interior pockets that fit all the things you forgot you had to pick up on your way home from work. This jacket is stocked at the shop in both black and brown. Armor sold separately.
The Number Three: The Aether Skyline Jacket
Aether have nailed making a highly technical product with style. This is one of our favourite jackets for any type of weather, which in turn makes it a great choice for trips. Removable and shock absorbing D30 Armor comes included in all Aether Jackets which reinforces the company's commitment to building a lifetime product. This jacket is stocked in the shop in black, green, blue and grey and can be special ordered in any size.
The Number Four: The Schott 141 Classic Racer Jacket
The Classic Leather Jacket, we can spot a Schott from across the street. Tough exterior, with clean lines, it's design allows for a wide range of motion without compromise on style. Made by skilled hands in the U.S.A, Schott's heritage of being the first ever motorcycle jacket manufacturer is evident in this jacket. The difference is in the leather: this jacket is historic and will last forever. This jacket comes in both a regular and a tall length.
The Number Four: The First Commando Jacket
This jacket may not have all of the features of the above hits, but sometimes simple is best. Top grain cow hide, a removable insulated liner, ribbed side panels plus an affordable price, make this jacket hard to beat. This is a shop fave if you want to play it cool while saving a bucks.
Our Honorable Mention: Vanson Riding Jackets Modest in how much they have contributed to the motorcycle scene worldwide, this brand will not compromise their vision. They serial number each one of her jackets for sole purpose of being able to trace each garment's origins and offer service several years down the line.
Both of these models have nearly sold out before even reaching the shop floor, so if you are eyeing a Vanson for spring let us know in advance as these will remain limited in their hand made numbers. It is also worth noting that should you require a unique alteration such as longer arm length or prefer a different color, that we can also facilitate a custom order.
The Vanson Stormer - This unlined jacket is unmistakable, made from USA produced 14 oz Martexin Original Wax Cotton it only is going to look better with wear. Although longer in the body, a two-way YKK brass zipper allows for ease of wear when riding. Leather trim is used in the finishing details, making it impossible not to notice the quality of this jacket.
Very similar to the Stormer in its features, this jacket is fully lined and offers a shorter body.
