Costa Rica Bound - 2015

It feels like ages since we got to ride our bikes out here in Toronto and we've all been itching to head South for some warmer weather, dirt biking and ocean swims. Thankfully a much anticipated winter vacation is now days away. This year a group of us are heading out for a ten-day stay in Costa Rica, renting dirt bikes and getting to ride through some Costa Rican country side to get to our vaycay rental spot.
Finding a good moto rental spot not too far from where we land in San Jose was definitely a bonus for us this year. We'll be renting ten bikes from Wild Rider Costa Rica for the week to rip around on. At the moment it looks as though our fleet will consist of: three Honda NX4 Falcons (400 cc bike), one Honda XR250 Tornado, three Suzuki DR650s and three Suzuki DRZ400s.

Our plan is to head to our rental house in Tres Palmas from San Jose through the mountains (weather permitting):

And for a bit of a change of scenery, head back to San Jose at the end of our trip along the coast line:

Limited to what we can strap onto our bikes, here is a look at what a few of us are bring gear-wise for the trip.

Note: All the gear pictured below are items stocked in the shop unless marked by a *. Anything with a * is an item we special ordered in for the trip. See the section at the bottom of the post labeled 'Special Orders' if you like something you see below and are interested in having us bring you in some similar gear!
