Our friend Brett from Vancouver was also in Castle Rock, WA for Dirt Quake USA and put together a xt500 to race for the event. These photos are from him, make sure you check out his instagram and his blog for lots of photos that will make you want to move to BC stat. That's Brett number 17 in the photo above.
From Brett: "In the couple weeks leading up to Dirt Quake I worked late into the night trying to assemble an xt500 flat tracker out of a bunch of parts I had kicking around in the garage. Random front end that was collecting dust in the corner, fiberglassed up the seat pan, my friend Randi did the seat, got some new tires, worked out some carburetor issues, had the muffler fly off the night before the race while test riding and get pancaked by a truck out on the road. A bunch of us from Vancouver headed down to race and take in the event, and good times were had! First time flat tracking and I am totally hooked. There are 5 more flat track races up at O'Keefe Ranch so it's time to get the machine tuned! Thanks guys, hopefully see you in July.
