2009 Honda CRF450 DTX | April 2014 Window Bike

April's window bike is a 2009 Honda CRF450 owned by Doug Lawrence. Doug is our sponsored Flat Track rider and races in both the US and Canada with AMA Pro Racing and Flat Track Canada respectively. This is one of his DTX bikes that he races when racing the smaller 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile tracks.

The main differences on bikes set up for Flat Track are the wheels are changed from their stock motocross sizes, to 19" wheels front and rear, that are wider to accommodate flat track tires. The front and rear rear suspension is also modified.

This bike at the moment is sporting 19" Sun rims with Golden Tyre flat track tires CC4 compound and the suspension has been rebuilt by Twenty Six Suspension.

The engine has been reworked with a ported cylinder head, matched to a throttle body and an aftermarket cam, and breathes through a Jemco exhaust. Weiss racing triple clamps, Vortex sprockets, Motion Pro grips and cables, Graphics Kit by Pro Plates and a Saddlemen seat round out some of the components on this bike.

If you want to see this bike in person, come out Thursday April 17th to our 'Evening with Flat Track Canada' to learn more about Flat Track Racing and hear from the Flat Track Canada crew. Doug Lawrence and Lawrence Hacking will also be here to talk about their experiences in the sport. It is sure to be a great night!
