3 Great Bikes at the 1 Moto Show
In the same vein as my last helmet post, I wanted to try and showcase in more detail three of my favourite bikes I saw at the 1 Moto Show. This was way, way, way harder than picking three helmets. With my choices I think it just came down to picking bikes that I would want to ride everyday. It pained me to choose only 3, there were so many great bikes in the show! You can check out more photos on our facebook page. 1. HAMMARHEAD INDUSTRIES 449: This custom is built around a Honda CRF450X engine. Apparently they're making 5 of these at $18,000 a pop. It looks light, fast and fun, don't need much than that to make me happy.
2. Revival Cycles 1975 Moto Guzzi 850T: This alloy beauty was built by Revival Cycles in Austin, TX. Tons of great details, the custom tank/seat unit is what really grabs your eye on this bike. I also really dig the handmade headlight cowl / clipons. Despite the diminutive look of the taillight they had them on at the show and they were surprisingly bright. Much more visible than what I run for sure, same goes for the headlight. Too many custom bits and bobs to mention them all but check out BikeExif's write up for more information and photos.
3. SEE SEE MOTORCYCLES 1997 Honda XR400: Have loved this XR since i've seen it floating around the web. If you aren't familiar with how this bike looked stock do a quick search and see how much of a departure this custom is. I like the cafe treatment on a bike you don't usually see it done on. Looks like a blast to ride. If you're feeling this build be sure to check out See See's other builds!
