After the 1 Moto Show had wrapped up we moved onto the next item of business on our trip. MotoGP! For those who don't know (myself up until very recently) MotoGP, if you had to compare it to anything is like the major leagues of motorcycle racing. It's the show, the big time, the top of heap, the place where anyone in the world of motorcycle racing hopes to end up and do well.
The weekend is made up of three days of racing: Friday / Saturday racing is made up of practice and qualifying laps and Sunday being the main event. The whole weekend is a real spectacle with well over 100,000 racing fans showing up to check it out.
There are different classes Moto3 - 250cc, Moto2 - 600cc and MotoGP 1000cc bikes. So on Sunday there are three big races and some smaller ones like the rookie cup as well.
Just a really cool thing to see. Even the parking lot is impressive. Just a sea of motorcycles as far as the eye can see.
Big thanks to Thor from See See Motorcycles for hooking us up with some tickets, we had a great time!
