Day 2 - Some Sun
Day two of our ride was turned out to be a great day for riding. Well, later on anyways. Had some rain in the morning but nothing compared to tuesday and by lunchtime found ourselves losing layers at every gas stop. We travelled from Covington, KY to Forrest City, AR. About 850 km.
My camera died at some point during the day so I'm missing some potential shots but there was nothing uber spectacular just nice clear skies and dry roads. Definitely the shot in the arm we needed after slugging it out yesterday.
Only snag all day was my janky ignition switch acting up again from the rain the day before, wouldn't start after getting gas. Took it apart, cleaned, greased, reassembled at it's working again for now. I'm writing this day 2 blog post knowing what happened on day three and let me tell you it's a total gong show. So to any of our buddies who couldn't make the trip because of work, bikes not working, whatever then stay tuned for day three if you want some solace for missing the trip. If all goes as planned we'll make it to Austin tomorrow.
Todays item I couldn't have done without was Di-electric grease when I was working on the ignition. We also fixed one of Stephen's turn signals when water had gotten in and does what it does. Other than that I also used my CruzTool Multi tool for disassembling the ignition.
