Available at Town we have a brand spanking copies of the classic Modern Motorcycle Mechanics. For the uninitiated MMM was the first comprehensive book available on motorcycle maintenance and repair. It's author J.B. Nicholson started Nicholson Bros. Motorcycles Ltd. with his brother Lawrence as teenagers in 1931, Saskatoon, SK. Over the years their business grew into a large parts mail-order business supplying North American motorcycle riders with access to parts and motorcycles.
At the age of 25 in 1942 Nicholson published the first edition of MMM and have sold over 100,000 copies over seven editions since. The seventh edition, last updated in 1974, has maintenance, complete rebuild tips and advice for almost all bikes released up to that point including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki as well as countless tips on general motorcycle maintenance. A great resource for anyone interested in keeping their classic bike on the road and running well.
We also have in stock a a biography on this icon of Canadian motorcycling written by Greg Williams. Prairie Dust, Motorcycles and a Typewritter covers the life of J.B.Nicholson and his impact on the motorcycling industry. A great read for anyone interested in old motorcycles.
